The French Bulldog Stare

My dogs are very tolerant of the variety of dogs who visit us for board and board-and-train. We have a safe environment where, for example, a hard Frenchie stare will not escalate into anything more than frozen dogs who eventually walk away from each other or play. Lola, our visiting Frenchie is good that way, too. She makes her point, then lets up, as long as the other dog relents. When she chose my Border Collie to stare down, I had to laugh. Lola’s little buddy is a ChiPin and he only stares at dogs if they have food.
